Beams Plus - Sweat Pullover Hoodie Raised Back - Black

A basic and timeless simple pullover sweatshirt hoodie from BEAMS PLUS, made in Japan. It features set-in sleeves, a kangaroo pocket, and standard ribbed details. The seamless tubular knit construction ensures a smooth and comfortable fit.

Made from a rare, old-fashioned knitting machine, the "Azuma knitting machine," using a domestically produced heavyweight terry cloth fabric with 30/30/7 count yarn. The reverse side of the yarn is brushed, resulting in a warm material suitable for the autumn and winter seasons.
The Azuma knitting machine is one of the early knitting machines from the 1970s, when the industry transitioned from loopwheel knitting machines to high-speed knitting machines, and is a rare and valuable machine with few remaining in existence. It is also a low-productivity knitting machine with an extremely slow knitting speed, only able to knit about 1-2 rolls per day on a single machine. This slow speed results in a soft and voluminous fabric texture.
