Alpha Industries is an American clothing brand founded on October 17, 1959, in Knoxville, Tennessee, by Samuel Gelber (along with initial roots tied to Dobbs Industries). Originally launched as a leading contractor for the U.S. Department of Defense, the company built its reputation by engineering rugged, high-performance military outerwear—most famously the MA-1 flight jacket, M-65 field coat, and N-3B parka.
