Made from a 10oz indigo and black Japanese dobby-woven cloth, this short-sleeved mechanic shirt combines heritage craftsmanship with striking fade potential. The fabric features an indigo rope-dyed warp and black sulphur-dyed weft, creating a three-dimensional texture that fades to electric blue as it ages—revealing the intricate geometric weave beneath. Dobby weaving, a traditional technique from the mid-1800s, allows precise yarn manipulation during production, resulting in a thicker, heavily textured fabric with exceptional character. The relaxed mechanic cut delivers ventilation and comfort with snap fastenings, flap-down chest pockets, a straight hem, split seam gussets, and internal red bobbin thread detailing.
