As The Official Watch Of Something™, Detrola brings to the table what the world needs a little more of these days. Fun. This new collection from Shinola arrives at the intersection of quality craftsmanship and youthful design, featuring watches that are built with high-grade components, clever engineering and vibrant colorways. With a strong stainless steel core, durable TR90 resin case, black dial and hand-assembled movement, the No. 2 Detrola strikes the perfect balance between strength and style. Go on. Soak in the good old days of grade school, glue sticks, giant pencils and snack time.
The No. 2 Detrola features the Argonite 705 movement. This high-accuracy quartz movement, which is hand-assembled in Detroit with Swiss and other imported parts, drives the hours, minutes, seconds and calendar aperture function with precision.
Crafted from TR90 resin, a material known for its strength, this 43mm case is anchored by a stainless steel core. The glossy orange case is reminiscent of No. 2 pencils, and the dial is protected by double-domed K1 crystal, the hardest, most durable mineral crystal.
This black dial is accented with matte cream details, a nod to those classic grade school notebooks. Other features include the Shinola Detroit logo as well as the Detrola collection logo, and silver-toned Super-LumiNova hands.
A black silicone strap is the perfect complement to this timepiece. Soft and flexible, it offers a comfortable fit and is easy to wear.
Quick Release: Fitted with quick release pins, this strap is easy to change. No tools required. Watch the tutorial here.
The packaging for Detrola is as unique and fun as the style it represents. Long skinny box. Foam insert for protection. Illustrations on the foam and the box sleeve are a fun nod to the watch inside—and they’re also just nice to look at.
