KNICKERBOCKER MFG. CO.
In 1960, ninety five percent of clothing sold in America was American Made. Today, that number is less than five percent.Let's change that.
Knickerbocker Mfg. Co. began in the spring of 2013. Every step of its creation is rooted in the idea of community. For some in the picture it meant a passing of the torch and for some it meant a carrying of the torch. No matter which side you were on, the goal was simple, continue that story, hold onto tradition for when tradition dies so does a piece of us. Let that story belong to all of us. Let it inspire others to build their own. Let it be the light at the end of our tunnel and let our creations live beyond our years.
Steven Watman, the proprietor of a sixty year old family owned manufacturing company, was the man who passed that torch on to us. Many wonder and we often do to, how was it that this fell in our lap? I don't believe much in coincidences.
Our actions are about more than supporting our economy. This is about supporting a movement towards ethical supply chain solutions around the world. It’s about asking questions, challenging ourselves and our community.
